Am the founder and owner of AHO PhotoGraphics, which emphasizes and is involved in many digital photography venues and events, and also digital videography and professional documentary film and video editing. And I have even begun to produce a few of my own film-related creations!

While I specialize in teaching photography workshops, wedding photography and videography, my truest passions lie in documenting pretty much anything of beauty in this amazing world.

I have been a photography instructor since 1993 at the Wildflower Festival, and I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching and learning all these years.

I am the co-founder and art director of the Crested Butte Land Trust Calendar which has been wonderfully successful since its inception in 1998 and has raised easily over $20,000 or more in the past 5 years.

I have had photos exhibited in 3 galleries, taught "In the Field" workshops and classes for Colorado Free University for 2 seasons, worked on a medium budget Hollywood set as a publicity stills photographer for several weeks, and I am also an active freelance photographer for Myraceday.com, a sporting event based photography business. I have delivered over 21,000 photos to MyRaceDay over the years. And probably shot well over 30,000 for this business alone!

I studied photography while at Humboldt State University in 1988 and in fact have been pursuing various aspects of it since 1984 when my sister fortuitously sold me her Pentax ME Super. While taking 2 semesters of darkroom classes, I was the only one who showed and interest in color photography for my final project, and I have always been very compelled by vibrant colors.

Recently my attention has turned even further into the film and video world, especially documentary film making. I love to volunteer at various film festivals (Mountainfilm in Telluride, Sundance in Utah, The Boulder International Film Festival, etc) and I am actively pursuing these and other upcoming festivals throughout the year.

I have a particular love of the wild lands of the world, and have traveled throughout North America, Alaska, Costa Rica, and New Zealand to create remarkable photos. I plan on a trip to South America in the near future to document the country and her people.
